Dave Lea has been a professional vocalist and actor for many

years but has been more in the public eye since 2017 when

Dave started performing in BLACKPOOL after being invited to

support the legendry Irish vocalist and now good friend

ROSE MARIE who has sold17 million albums worldwide to date.

Since this time Dave has achieved a considerable amount of

recognition supporting or working with other celebrity entertainers.

 

Dave who was a personal friend of Joe Longthorne (before Joe's passing in 2019) was invited to perform at the JOE LONGTHORNE FRIENDSHIP CLUB annual get together (Joe Longthorne's Worldwide Fanclub)

 Dave's intention was to only perform one show in Blackpool but after the end of Dave's first year driving up and down to Blackpool to perform, Dave who lives in Lincolnshire and not Blackpool, as many people think, realised that he had built up a reasonable sized following on FACEBOOK from people across the country and also members of the Joe Longthorne Friendship Club who were also travelling from across the UK to see him perform in Blackpool and around the UK. 

 

At this point Dave decided to book the Imperial Hotel, the huge iconic seafront hotel in Blackpool and stage his own one man show which was a sell-out attended by people in Blackpool and across the UK, including Ireland.

The rest is history, as they say.

Dave has now completed many sellout shows at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool. Dave has also performed at the JOE LONGHTORNE THEATRE, North Pier Blackpool and at the intimate JOE LONGTHORNE MUSEUM, BLACKPOOL in addition to performing a very successful once yearly mini  UK tour called 'THE ALL FRIENDS TOGETHER TOUR' taking in BLACKPOOL, BIRMINGHAM, EDINBURGH and also GLASGOW SCOTLAND.

​THE ALL FRIENDS TOGETHER TOUR is an extension of Dave's Blackpool show's.

Since 2017, Dave has privately produced 8 CD albums and there is also an independently run Dave Lea fan club in the UK, based in Edinburgh Scotland, run by fans of Dave Lea.

2019

Dave performed for the first time, the song 'SOMEONE TO REMEMBER ME' (Russell Watson) to the Joe Longthorne World Wide Friendship Club at North Pier Blackpool and received a overwhelming standing ovation. This song has now become his signature tune at his live shows. Dave changed some of the words of this song to reflect how he felt with the passing of his dear friend JOE LONGTHORNE who had a huge part in helping Dave in his early career . 2021

On 3rd July 2021, Dave became the very first person to perform to a paying audience at the Joe Longthorne Museum on North Pier Blackpool, where Dave staged his own show to a sell out audience.
